CVE-2026-17695 is a high-severity vulnerability in Google Chrome on macOS affecting versions prior to 151.0.7922.72. The flaw resides in the ANGLE graphics layer, which Chrome uses to translate OpenGL ES calls to platform-native graphics APIs. An inappropriate implementation in ANGLE allows a remote attacker to potentially perform a sandbox escape by luring a victim to visit a specially crafted HTML page. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to break out of the Chrome sandbox, potentially gaining broader access to the underlying operating system. The vulnerability is rated High severity by the Chromium security team. A fix has been issued in Chrome stable channel version 151.0.7922.72 for desktop.
