Perceptive Security was founded in 2014 by Roeland, Steven & Paul to help organisations implement SIEM technology and to strengthen their SOC capabilities. In the past years we have worked for companies in the financial and government sector to design modern security architectures, improve detection capabilities, and support the growth of their SOC operations.
We have a strong technical background and can quickly adopt new technologies, enabling us to apply them effectively for our customers. If you need help with building or modernising a SOC you have come to the right place !
The founders
Our cybersecurity journey began in 2004 with our first steps into SIEM using platforms such as RSA enVision and ArcSight. At the time, SIEM focused on connecting as many log sources as possible and normalizing the data for effective processing. There was little to no built-in detection content, meaning almost everything had to be developed from scratch.
With the introduction of the MITRE ATT&CK framework in 2013, vendors began developing built-in detection content aligned with its tactics and techniques. Today, most SIEM and XDR platforms offer extensive out-of-the-box coverage. While traditional log sources such as firewalls and other internet-facing systems remain essential, modern environments increasingly rely on XDR for advanced detection capabilities. The challenge, however, is that these capabilities require significant fine-tuning to separate true threats from normal enterprise behavior. We specialize in the implementation, fine-tuning, and modernization of Security Operations Centers.
