A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been discovered in UTT HiPER 1200GW devices running firmware versions up to 2.5.3-170306. The flaw affects the strcpy function in the /goform/formFireWall file, where manipulation of the Profile argument can trigger the overflow. This vulnerability allows for remote exploitation and poses a significant security risk. An exploit for this vulnerability has already been published and is publicly available, increasing the potential for malicious attacks. Organizations using affected UTT HiPER 1200GW devices should prioritize patching to prevent potential compromise.
