CVE-2018-25211 is a buffer overflow vulnerability in Allok Video Splitter 3.1.1217 that allows local attackers to cause denial of service or execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability is triggered through the License Name field in the registration process. Attackers can craft malicious payloads exceeding 780 bytes and paste them into the License Name registration field. When the Register button is clicked, the buffer overflow is triggered. This vulnerability allows for both denial of service attacks and arbitrary code execution. The vulnerability has been documented with proof-of-concept exploits available publicly.
