A high-severity vulnerability (CVE-2026-13584) has been identified in the Mitsubishi Electric CC-Link IE TSN Communication Protocol affecting over 110 product models including PLCs, motion modules, servo drives, inverters, industrial robots, and HMIs. The flaw is classified as CWE-924 (Improper Enforcement of Message Integrity During Transmission in a Communication Channel) with a CVSS v3.1 score of 7.1 (HIGH). An attacker with access to the same network segment can tamper with communication data by sending specially crafted packets under specific timing conditions, potentially causing denial-of-service or incorrect operation of industrial control systems. All versions of all affected products are impacted and no firmware fix is planned. Mitigations include physical access restrictions, network segmentation, firewall deployment, and proper credential management. The vulnerability was reported by researchers at Nozomi Networks and affects critical manufacturing infrastructure deployed worldwide.
