Cloudflare detected and mitigated the largest ever DDoS attack measuring 29.7 Tbps, originating from the AISURU botnet-for-hire. The attack lasted 69 minutes and was launched by a botnet with up to 4 million infected hosts. AISURU has been linked to multiple hyper-volumetric DDoS attacks over the past year, representing a significant escalation in DDoS attack capabilities. This record-breaking attack demonstrates the growing threat posed by large-scale botnets and the increasing sophistication of DDoS-as-a-service operations.
